Hail the conqueror
Well for those of you who missed it, this weekend saw somwthing that has never been done before. Mad Steven, for the first time in 9 years, lost in the circle of hay. Not once but twice. The person responsible for these losses is yours truly. I also defeated Limerick upon the logs, but I also lost 2 bouts to him as well. The weekend was good even without the victories. Wow has it been awhile. Ok update on life. Still no job, although the Wegmans thing is finally sorted out and it looks like I'll have a job soon. Like next week soon (I hope). That'll be good. As far as moving, well, the house is slowly shaping up. Now if the ground will just thaw I can do some much needed landscaping in the front yard. The new shire progresses apace, we finally have a name (I think). We've been playing at least once a week so credits are building. Loks like it'll be a success. With luck we'll hit barony right after we get sponsored. The DnD game I just started is running well, looks to be adding a new player tonight, which is cool. Still may start yet another game soon, not sure yet though. Otherwise all is quiet. Well gotta go, the dryer just went off so it's time to fold clothes. Of course. Just my luck. I just found out that the tax return I filed for isn't getting here today like they thought it would. I didn't qualify for the "really" rapid refund. So now I get to wait a week or two to get the return, just like if I had done it myself rather than paid someone to do it. great. Still no word on when I'll be working again. Talked to the HR guy here today and he's telling me that he's trying to get me transfered since I'm still in the computer, but of course the person in Syracuse that needs to sign the paperwork isn't in until tomorrow. So then it'll be a week or two for that to go through, so I won't be getting a paycheck for another two or three weeks. Which means that I have no income for at least another week. I feel awful about not being able to do more for Margie. I mean I can buy a few more groceries and stuff, but not much. I hate feeling like a leech. Guess it's time to play the "parent card" and see if can get like $50 from home. That'll be at least a few days though. Oh well, can't be helped. Otherwise the move went great and things are settling out here. At least until we move into the house. Then it all goes into upheaval for about a week again. then, hopefully, things will be settled a bit more permanently. Here's hoping. Whew
Wow! It's been a while since I updated. Well that's not all my fault though, the computer has been acting up and not wanting to connect to the net, but oh well. So I am finally moved. I came up last night. And to those of you in Syracuse, yes, I did drive through that mess. Drove out of it around Rochester. Been nice here. I unintentionally kept Margie up last night. (sorry hon) Have actually done a few things today. Got dishes done, went shopping, called to find out about jobs, am going to cook dinner, took out the trash and recycling, and I think that's it. Oh well if not I'll remember sooner or later. Anyhow I'll try to keep up on the postings from now on. No promises though. I'll put up a new game as soon as I think of a song to use. Later.
